The film
In the streets of Providence, Rhode Island, a young man's search for truth and survival pulls him into a dangerous world where loyalty, family, love, and betrayal collide — and one choice can change an entire city forever.
Innocence Lost is a gritty urban drama set against the streets of Providence, where ambition, loyalty, family, and survival are constantly at war. As its characters navigate love, betrayal, street politics, and the consequences of the choices they make, the line between innocence and experience begins to disappear.
What starts as a struggle to find purpose becomes an emotional journey through loss, responsibility, redemption, and the harsh realities of a city where every decision carries a price. Directed with a cinematic, character-driven approach, Innocence Lost explores what happens when people are forced to grow up before they are ready — and what remains when innocence is gone.
It is the newest entry in the This Is My City movie series, written and directed by Stanley “Hotinri” Bois and shot on location in Rhode Island — from the State House steps to the marinas to the garages off the avenue.
